JobCHEER is a website and job resource center available to displaced workers, and anyone seeking employment opportunities in Southeastern Michigan. Find job opportunities from home on this website. Search by industry by clicking any of the "Career Categories" on the left. For a more extensive job search, click on a "Job Search Link" below.

The JobCHEER center, located in Madonna University's School of Business at the corner of Schoolcraft and Levan Roads in Livonia, features two computer workstations, job boards and reference materials. Visitors also can take advantage of career counseling and workshops about resume writing and interviewing skills offered by Madonna Career Services staff. The website and center will post all events that could help improve your employability.

New Walmart at 7 Mile and Middlebelt Roads is Hiring

Go to walmart.com/careers, (store #5844) to fill out an application or to the storefront set up behind Sears (where the old JoAnn Fabrics used to be located.) Hiring office open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. MWF and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. TTh. Application process takes one hour and 400 people are needed by August. Management, retail , food service and stocker job openings availlable.

Job Search Strategies – Students will learn tools for conducting a successful job search, tips for getting your resume noticed and how to handle tough interview questions. Register by calling Career Services at 734-432-5623. Workshop maximum: 18 people. Free and open to the public.
